Rays of hope in economic stress

Staycation.
As the summer draws to close, "staycation" has been the buzzword of the season. While gas prices remain high and houses foreclose, our checkbooks stay close to our side. And instead of the anticipated extravagant summer getaways, people stayed close to home and saved money. As we all know times are bit tough; especially on small, local businesses. But in times of economic discouragement I hope to bring you a little ray of hope. Advertising doesn't have to cost you your soul. In case you aren't aware, we have at least four opportunities to advertise for as little as $8.00 per week! Here's some inexpensive ways to keep your name in the public's mind. First there's the devotional directory. Every week we produce a special section in our newspapers listing all the available churches in the area. To advertise in this section is $9.00 per week with a 13 week commitment. Then there's the business directory featured in our NEA Marketplace. The Marketplace is inserted in all five of our network papers: Tri-City Tribune, Trumann Democrat, Town Crier, Piggott Times and Clay County Democrat. You can promote your name to nearly 16,000 people for only $8.00 per week! This also includes a 13 week commitment. Also we have our community calendar which runs in the Tri-City Tribune. The calendar features local events for the upcoming month and to sponsor this section is only $20 a month. Lastly there's the community page which runs in both the Trumann Democrat and Tri-City Tribune. At the first of the month, we encourage local shopping by featuring local businesses. An ad in this section is $30 a month per paper. So you can promote your business every month without knocking a dent into your already tight budget. For more information call or email me.
