What a week!

I have never been convinced that the "computer age" is such a wonderful idea and I'm even more skeptical now -- my laptop crashed -- twice. Is it really a good idea to have all your life trusted to a computer and cell phone memory? I did have a backup DVD -- but I'm still not sure about all this!
So I thought I'd put the Indian Reunion information here on my Blog. So if you are reading this, PLEASE, help out and pass the information on to anyone you know that ever went to school in Marked Tree. There will be so many things going on in addition to the Reunion and the Cotton Pickin' Jubilee, it's Homecoming on Friday, September 26 and the Vietnam Traveling Memorial "The Wall That Heals" will be here Thursday, September 25 thru Sunday, September 28. There will be a memorial ceremony on Saturday, September 27 at 9:00am in Cypress Park (the old horse arena) and we want everyone to come and join us to remember the men from Poinsett County who died in Vietnam and to thank All our Veterans. I just realized I made a mistake, I realized the dinner is Saturday night. We are going to Payneway on Friday night and as I understand it, Saturday night will be at the Country Club and Lance Daniels band will be playing. We are expected to give $5 to help pay for the band. See you soon!
I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again this year. I will be arriving in town on Thursday afternoon. My cell is 314-496-7834. I plan on attending all events planned and some that may not be planned! For those that are interested, I am trying to get a group to go to Payneway on Friday night to Micheal Simpson's Bar. It always brings back a lot of good memories. This would take place after the dinner, of course. Pass this blog on to others so that we can all be connected and on the same track for the weekend.
