Amanda Dora Lewis, 86, of Osceola, died on Friday, May 16, 2003 at Baptist Hospital in Osceola.

She was born on March 7, 1917 in Coffeeville, Miss. to Jack Davis and Ella Mae Gray. A resident of Mississippi County for over 30 year, Lewis was a housewife and a member of Grace Temple in Osceola, where she was on the mother board.

Survivors include four sons, Roosevelt Reed Sr. of Jonesboro, Albert Lewis Jr. of Lakeland, Fla., Robert Barry Lewis of Parkin and John Lewis of Little Rock; three daughters, Daisy Johnson of Jonesboro, Christene Lewis Bradley of Osceola and Frankie Young of Osceola; one brother, James Davis Gray of Turrell; 35 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2003 at 1 p.m. at Grace Temple Church in Osceola with Rev. Billy Driver officiating. Burial will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with family serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola.
