A retired school cafeteria manager, Nichols was a member of the
Osceola Church of God and was formerly the church secretary and treasurer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Nichols; two sons, Norman Earl Nichols and Carl Leon Nichols; one grandson, Norman Earl Nichols, Jr.; and sone son-in-law, Jimmy Raper.
Survivors include eight daughters, Anne Belle Campbell of Mullberry,
Ark., Inez Creecy of Trumann, Jeanette Walker of Boaz, Ala., Loretta
Campbell of Jonesboro, Shirley Allison of Tyronza, Betty Austin of
Mountain Home, Ark., Sharon Collins of Tyronza, and Patricia Raper of
Blytheville; four sons, Leon Robinson of Carbon Hill, Ala., Earnest
Nichols of Trumann, Charles Nichols of Lake City, and David Nichols of
Okolona, Miss.; one sister, Leverne Hager of Paris, Ark.; one brother, J.T.
McDade of Joshua Tree, Calif.; 32 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and
four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial followed at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
