John Thomas Wallin, 68, of West Memphis died Friday, June 20, 2003 at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.

A Navy veteran, he was a Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Wallin of West Memphis; three sons, Tommy Wallin and Paul Wallin, both of Harrisburg, and Michael Elrod of Jonesboro; five daughters, Belinda Smith of Harrisburg, Sheri Foster of Marion and Melissa Elrod, Jerri Lyn Wallin and Jessica Wallin, all of West Memphis; four brothers, James Wallin and Bill Wallin, both of West Memphis, Harold Wallin of Dacula, Ga., and Jerry Wallin of Memphis; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Jo Ann Modisett.

Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2003 in Marked Tree Cemetery, with David Mote officiating. Murphy Funeral Home of Marked Tree is in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers were Gary Shea, Franky Foster, Randy Foster, Jerry Wallin Jr., James Tucker and Michael Elrod.

Honorary pallbearers were Courtney Sircloumb, Blake Letson, Kenny Smith, Jerry Elrod and Charles Harston.

Visitation was held from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
