Leroy Malone, Jr., 64, of Tyronza, died on Monday, June 30, 2003 at St. Bernard Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

A member of the Marked Tree Church of God, Malone was a fork lift driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Leroy Malone, Sr.; two brothers, Kenneth Malone and Tommy Malone; and one sister, Maxine Kirk.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Malone; Paul Malone and Tim Malone, both of Lepanto; one daughter, Teresa Harris of Osceola; one sister, Kathaleen Wade of Sheffield, Ala.; three brothers, Dale Malone of Tyronza, Terry Malone and Charles Malone, both of Marked Tree; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2 at the Marked Tree Church of God with Patrick Tucker officiating. Burial followed at Tyronza Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Charlie Higgins, Larry Crockett, Dean Tucker, Albert Thrasher, Ricky Russell and Tommy Hooker.

Visitation was held. Memorials may be made to the Marked Tree Church of God.

Roller-Citizens Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
