Graveside services for Herman Utah "Bo" McDaniel Jr., 58, of Lake City, who died Thursday, July 3, 2003 in Lake City, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 7, in Lake City Cemetery, with the Rev. Carl Edge officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home of Lake City.

Pallbearers were Ernie McDaniel, Ron Holbrook, Kenny Basinger, Todd Basinger, Dennis Basinger and Dan Melton. Dave Russell served as an honorary pallbearer..

Born in Lepanto and formerly of Lake Charles, La., he was an over-the-road truck driver, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and of the Church of God belief.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley McDaniel of Lake Charles, La.; three sons, Keith McDaniel and Kevin McDaniel, both of Arizona, and Kelly McDaniel of Grand Rapids, Mich.; two daughters, Corina Mazerick of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Lori Dunsmore of Houston, Texas; his father, Herman U. "Tolly" McDaniel Sr. of Lake City; one brother, Ernie McDaniel of Lake City; four sisters, Judy Russell of Lake City, Shirley Culberston and Linda Miles, both of Grand Rapids, and Brenda Croft of Kearney, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Saundra McDaniel, Matthew McDaniel, Johnathan McDaniel, Andrew McDaniel, Adam Musilech, Noah Dunsmore and Hannah Dunsmore.

Visitation was held Monday at the funeral home.
