George Aus Jr., 75, of Marked Tree died Saturday, July 19, 2003 at Regional Medical Center of NEA in Jonesboro.

He was an Air Force veteran and of the Pentecostal belief.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Aus; a son, Darryl Aus of Fort Washington, Md.; a daughter, Sheila Aus of Hazel Crest, Ill.; his mother, Jimmie Hodges of Gary, Ind.; two sisters, Alpha Payne and Jimmie Ophelia Miller, both of Gary; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, July 25 at the Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, with Jeffery Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Paradise Garden Cemetery at Edmondson under the direction of Sims-Woodard Funeral Service of Marked Tree.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Rudolph, Eddie Mitchell, Michael Wells, Maurice Wells, Samuel Wells, Joshua Payne and Johnny Warren Jr.

Darryl Aus will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
