Born on September 7, 1925 in Earle, Ark., Hatchett was a farmer and a member of Philadelphia Baptist in Crawfordsville. He was a Mississippi County resident for over five years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie James Hatchett, Sr. and Savannah Kelley Hatchett, and one daughter, Viola Hatcher.
Survivors include his wife, Willine Jackson Hatchett of Blytheville; three daughters, Willine Hatcher of Peoria, Ill., Tammie Gaither and Barbara Blackmon of Blytheville; eight sons, James Hatcher of Newport, Jessie James Hatcher, Jr., Henry L. Hatcher, Charles Hatcher, Frank Hatcher, Henry Lee Hatcher, Troy Hatcher and Derrie Hatcher, all of Blytheville; one sister, Frances Hatchett of Memphis; three brothers, Frank Hatchett, Eddie Hatchett and Levy Hatchett, all of Memphis; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 9 at 1 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville with Rev. Clintell Cothran, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church in Blytheville officiating. Burial will follow at Sandy Ridge in Burdette, Ark. under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
