Myrtle Kirk, 81, died on Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at Three Rivers Nursing Center in Marked Tree. She had been a resident for about four years.

Born in Mississippi, she had previously lived in the Pocahontas, Tenn. area before moving to Lepanto, where she lived until entering the nursing home.

She was preceded in death by her only child, a son, David, and her husband, Tony Kirk. She was member of the First Baptist Church in Lepanto and the TEL Sunday School class.

Graveside services were conducted by Rev. Guy Garrett, of Bolivar, Tenn. on Saturday, August 2 at Essary Spring Cemetery outside of Pocahontas, Tenn. Shackford Funeral Home of Bolivar, Tenn. assisted in arrangements.
