A farmer and member of Joiner First United Methodist Church, Driver was a US Army Veteran and a lifetime member of Post 5225 West Memphis/Marion VFW American Legion. He earned the Purple Heart and Bronze Star while serving in the WWII Asiatic Pacific Theatre. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Edwards Driver, Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Geraline (Felts) Driver of Turrell; his mother Anna Mae Driver of Osceola; three sons, Ronald Driver of Blytheville, Joe Driver of Turrell and Bob Driver of Gilmore; one sister, Shirley Minnick of Middleton, Ind.; one half-brother, Murray Driver of Goose Creek, S.C.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 10 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel with Clayton Adams and Reverend Joe Sparks officiating. Burial followed in Louise Chapel Cemetery in Joiner.
Visitation was held. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Joiner or the American Cancer Society.
