Born March 3, 1910, in Clarksdale, Miss., he had been a retired mechanic and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Burdette.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Rogers Jackson, and his parents, James Jackson and Alice Brown Jackson.
Mr. Jackson leaves his daughters, Ella Thompson of Stockton, Calif., Juanita Pounds of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Barbara Jackson of Chicago; his sons, Roosevelt Jackson of Steele, Mo., Henry Jackson of Las Vegas, the Rev. Charles Jackson of Blytheville and L.C. Jackson and Robert Jackson, both of Burdette; and 37 grandchildren, 146 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 at Prince of Peace Spiritual Church in Blytheville, with Bishop W.C. Brown, pastor of First Freewill Missionary Baptist Church in Brooklyn, Ill., officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville.
The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3 at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville.
