Effie Kelly, 93, of Marked Tree died on Oct. 20, 2003 at Three Rivers Nursing Center.

She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.O. Kelly and one daughter, Johnnye Rhoads.

Survivors include two daughters, Joe Ann Hatley of Waterford, Mich. and Mattie Fleming of Marked Tree; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great- grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24 at the Murphy Funeral Home in Marked Tree with Jerry Kausler officiating. Burial will follow in Marked Tree Cemetery with Jim Dunlap, Phillip Newcomb, Frankie Frans, Trent Fleming, Tommy Miller, Howard Morgan, John Boxley and Robert Boxley serving as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held today from 5 -- 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church or First United Methodist Church in Marked Tree.
