Thurman "Pop" Thompson, 55, of Benton died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, in Benton.

He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include four brothers, Joe Thompson of Hope, Jimmie Thompson of Middleton, Tenn., David Thompson of Marie and Jerry Thompson of Dyess; and four sisters, Willie Ashburn and Sara Cooper, both of Joiner, and Betty Huskey and Charolotte Carmichael, both of Manila.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Thurman Thompson and Maggie Bordors Thompson.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7 at Louise Chapel Cemetery in Joiner, with Joe Sparks officiating. Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola was in charge of arrangements.
