Cheryl Lynn Swingle Johnson of North Little Rock, passed away and went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 16, 2003.

She was born to Dr. Charles Glenn & Elizabeth Orton Swingle December 2, 1953 in Memphis. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles Glenn Swingle, Sr. of Rock island, Ill. and Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Beasley of Earle; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Wade Orton of Johnson City and Knoxville; and a niece Kathryn Dodd Schisler of Weiner.

She is survived by her husband Samuel Wayne Johnson; her parents of Heber Springs; four sons Wade Hosman and wife Jessica of Stuttgart, Matthew Hosman of Brunswick, Ga., Luke Hosman and wife Chastity of Norfolk, Va. and Samuel Johnson of the home; one grandson Caleb Hosman of Brunswick, Iowa; three sisters Deborah Schisler and husband Mickey of Weiner, Elizabeth DuVall and husband Paul of Hillsboro, Mo. and Nan Butt and husband El of Pleasanton, Texas; three nieces, Corrie Stricklin and husband Johnny of Monroe, La., Libby Canell and husband Andy of Nacogdoches, Texas and Rachel DuVall of Hillsboro, Mo.

She graduated from Marked Tree High School, attended Southwestern (Rhodes) in Memphis, TN, graduated from Arkansas State University, with a BS in math and science, and MS in math and Science. She taught school in Marked Tree, Greenville, SC, Brunswick, GA, and Cincinnati Technical College. Recently she taught at Sylvan High School in North Little Rock.

Active pallbearers were her nephews: Adam Lyerly, Brandon Lyerly, Stuart Butt, Glenn DuVall, Joshua DuVall and Johnny Stricklin.

Services were held at the United Methodist Church in Marked Tree on Thursday, December 18. Burial was held Friday, December l9 at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens in Heber Springs.
