Born in Weleetka, Okla., he had lived in Trumann for the last 26 years and was formerly of Michigan. He was a steel mill worker, a member of the Teamsters Union and was of the Pentecostal belief.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Biggers of the home; five daughters, Shirley Guthrie, Sheila Austin, Michelle Meredith and Sherry Blackwood, all of Trumann, and Lisa Bishop of Bay; one stepdaughter, Anita England of Trumann; three sons, Alvin Biggers of Angleton, Texas, Allen Biggers of Bay and Danny Biggers of Trumann; two sisters, Liz Scarbrough of Batesville and Louella Leslie of Monette; 27 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Keith Randell Biggers; his parents, Jim and Alpha Brixey Biggers; three grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; and three half brothers.
Funeral services were held Wednesday in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann, with the Rev. Larry Tribble and the Rev. Don Simpson officiating. Burial followed in Monette Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Jerry Vinson, Gene Benson, Eldon Gartman, Ralph Guthrie, Jimmy Scarbrough and Jeremy Biggers.
Honorary pallbearers included J.D. Guthrie, Greg Biggers and Tim England.
