J.B. Broadaway

J.B. Broadaway, 81 of Trumann died Monday, Jan. 19, at Regional Medical Center of NEA in Jonesboro.

Born in Trumann, he had lived in Trumann for the past 40 years and was formerly of Marked Tree. He was a retired service station owner, a member of the Jonesboro Bowling Center League for over 40 years and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include his wife, Hilda Broadaway of the home; three daughters, Ann Childers and Patricia Flemon, both of Jonesboro, and Janet Allen of Marion; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Ethel Day Broadaway, and two brothers.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann, with the Revs. Lynn Childers and Rick Hart officiating. Burial follow ed in Nettleton Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Lynn Childers, Jarrod Childers, Gary Van Allen, Barry Wayne Flemon, Scott Flemon, Bruce Flemon, Janson Allen and Ben Allen.

Honorary pallbearers included Gary Allen Sr., W.A. Echols, Kenny Broadaway, Charles Weathers and Gregg Anderson.
