Mitchell Cummins Busby, 82, of Trumann, died Friday, Jan. 30, at Regional Medical Center of NEA.

Mr. Busby was born in Lepanto, AR and had lived in the Trumann and Marked Tree area most of his lifetime. He was a grain elevator operator for E. Ritter & Company and of the Church of God faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Ernestine Busby in 1987, one son, Larry Busby in 2000, one granddaughter, two brothers; one sister; and his parents, the late Lum and Rebecca Lynn Busby.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann with the Revs. Patrick Tucker and Don Simmons officiating. Burial followed in Oaklawn Cemetery at Jonesboro.

Pallbearers were John Avery, Joe Catwell, Robert Erway, Bobby Ward, Harry Ward and Jimmy Ward.
