He was a musician, an Army veteran, and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two sons, Billy Dink Ford of Bono and David Fortner of Berlin, Germany; two daughters, Jody Mangrum of Memphis and Dee Angela Victory Ford of Tyronza; three sisters Dorothy Ford of Marked Tree, Georgia Goodin of Gosnell and Edna Ford of Berwyn, Ill.; and four grandchildren, Eric Flemming, Michael Flemming, Chris Flemming and Kayla Flemming.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Cora Ford, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 18 at Murphy Funeral Home chapel at Marked Tree, with Lynn Vinson officiating. Burial followed in Marked Tree Cemetery.
