Edith Gernell Cox, 80, of Russellville died Friday, March 5, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.

She was formerly of Lepanto and Marked Tree and was homemaker. She was a member the Church of God in Russellville.

Survivors include one sister, Goldie Dallas of Jonesboro, and two brothers, Tommy Brashears of Russellville and Jimmy Brashears of Lepanto.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Cox, and two brothers.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. March 8 at Murphy Funeral Home, with Carlos Cox and James McElroy officiating. Cox was buried in Marked Tree.

Pallbearers were Aubrey Ratton, Cliff Ratton, Ronnie Thompson, Jimmy Thompson, Bill McDanile and Tommy Thompson.
