Mildred Swaim Doty, 96, of Marked Tree died Sunday, Feb. 29, at St. Elizabeth Place in Jonesboro.

She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church of Marked Tree.

Survivors include a daughter, Georgia Berry of Corning; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emerson A. Doty; and one daughter, Martha Doty Niblock.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Murphy Funeral Home in Marked Tree, with Joe Sparks and Bob Hager officiating. Private burial services followed at Marked Tree Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Marked Tree Public Library or First United Methodist Church in Marked Tree.
