Lester Wilburn Rowland, 79, of West Memphis died at his home March 24.

Rowland was the co-owner and a contractor for C. and L. Builders. He was a member of the Missouri Street Church of Christ and a WWII U.S. Army veteran.

Rowland was survived by his wife, Ray Rowland of West Memphis; three daughters: Janice McMahon of West Memphis, Patsy Beatty of Conway and Dyanna Rowland McFarland of West Memphis; two sons: Kenneth Rowland of Memphis and Larry Paul Rowland of Marion; one sister: Doralena Helcel of Marion; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 26 at Missouri Street Church of Christ in West Memphis. Burial followed in Marion.
