James Arthur "Blu Boy" Adkins, 43, of Osceola died Thursday, May 6, in Osceola.

Born in Osceola, he was a farmer and was of the Baptist belief.

Survivors include his parents, Thelma Virgies of Osceola and William Adkins of Columbia, S.C.; a sister, Jeannie Adkins of Osceola; and a brother, Darrell Adkins of Kansas City, Mo.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15 at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Cleveland Cain officiating. Burial followed in Whiteside Cemetery.
