Elsie Hendrix, 91, of Marked Tree died Friday, June 11, at Johnson Hobson Care Inn in Marion.

She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Marked Tree Garden Club and First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four sisters: Elizabeth Conrad, Betty Allensworth, Patsy Spicer and Norma Johnson, all of West Memphis. Other survivors include numerous nieces and nephews including Donald Wagner of Trumann, Janice Adams, Carolyn Sawrie and Judy Brawley, all of West Memphis.

Hendrix was also survived by two special caregivers: Dan and Louise Burfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ples Hendrix; her brother, Gordon Wagner; and her sister, Tidy Adams.

Private graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 14 at Marked Tree Cemetery, with Dan Burfield officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
