Thomas Barton, 25, of Marked Tree died Sunday, June 13, at Cross Ridge Community Hospital in Wynne.

Survivors include his parents, Whitney and Bobby Roark of Coldwater; one sister, Erika Hannah of Lepanto; one brother, James Phillip Barton II of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and his grandparents, Joe and Jean Sullivan of Marked Tree, Pearl Roark of Marked Tree and Dorothy Barton of Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Phillip Barton Sr.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 17 at Barton Chapel Baptist Church, with Gwen Hooker officiating. Burial followed in Marked Tree Cemetery under the direction of Murphy Funeral Home of Marked Tree.

Pallbearers included Daniel Ray Andrews, Brandon Mays, Dustin Lloyd, Jason Clark, David Pitts, Michael Skipper, Sidney Phillips and James Hubbard Jr.
