Born at Marked Tree, he had worked at a cotton gin and was a member of Mount Zion Church in Denwood.
Survivors include his wife, Pearline Morris; seven daughters: Rosie Shockley, Lessie Morris, Rosetta Luster, Vernita Morris, Hope Morris and Karen Morris, all of Marked Tree, and Georgia McDavis of Trumann; three sons: Charles Morris Jr. of Yukon, Okla., Curtis Lee Morris of Marked Tree and Marvin Morris of Minneapolis; five stepdaughters: four stepsons; two sisters, Etta Mae Morris of New York and Rosetta Berry of Conway; a brother, Jeff Morris of New York; 39 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy Morris, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 27 at Mount Zion Church in Denwood, with the Rev. Johnny Miller officiating.
Burial followed in Cherry Bean Cemetery at Tyronza.
