Born in Kansas City, Mo., he was a graduate of the University of Arkansas Medical School, a past professor at the University of Tennessee School for Medical Sciences and past chief of staff at Crittenden Memorial Hospital. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife: Mary Ann Ritter Arnold of the home; one sister: Jane Norris of Superior, Ariz.; one daughter: Melissa Wrenn of Brentwood, Tenn.; two sons: Paul Arnold of Nashville, Tenn. and Ritter Arnold of Marked Tree; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 -- 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 11 at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in Marked Tree.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 12 at the First United Methodist Church in Marked Tree with Rev. Shelia Jones officiating. A reception will immediately follow the memorial service in the church fellowship hall. The body will be cremated.
