William Boyce Baird Jr

William Boyce Baird Jr 73, of Jacksonville, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2004.

He was a retired pharmacist and a 1960 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Growing up he worked for his father, Boyce Baird, Sr., in the Arkansas Drug Store. Later he worked in Blytheville and Searcy and eventually owned Johnson's Apothecary in Little Rock. He also co-owned Economy Drugstore in North Little Rock.

He was born in Memphis, Tennessee to William Boyce Baird, Sr. and Mary Lou Baird. He served in the United States Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby, and son, Michael Moody.

He is survived by son, Robert Graham and wife Carolyn of Cabot; daughter, Tammy

Baird Jacks and husband Gary of Maumelle; sister, Ruth Bartlett of Marked Tree,

Arkansas; grandchildren, Megan Moody, Matt Moody, Melanie Graham and Casey

Barlow; great-grandchildren, Haley Cox, Mikayla B and Alaina Barlow.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28 at Moore's

Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel followed by interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Park, In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Society, www.psp.org, at Woodholme Medical Building, Suite 515; 1830 Greene Tree Rd., Baltimore, Maryland; 21208.
