Harland Duane Davis "Whacker," 65, of Trumann died Tuesday, August 24 at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Mississippi, he was a retired brick layer. He participated in the National Guard and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include one daughter: Tammie Juanita Martin of Trumann; two sons: Danny Duane Thompson of Trumann and Harold Thompson of Greers Ferry; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28 at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza with Brother Ken Bass officiating. Burial followed in Fisher Cemetery in Fisher.
