Born at Moscow, Tenn., he moved from Memphis to Marked Tree 13 years ago. A World War II veteran, he was a former minister of Industrial Street Church of Christ at Marked Tree.
Survivors include his wife, Pearline Polly Norman of the home; one daughter, Nadine Hayes of Memphis; six stepdaughters, Virginia Williams and Melinda Wooten, both of Marked Tree, Vearline Williamson of Marion, Susie Wooten of Nashville, Tenn., and Lynnee Swanson and Shundra Wooten, both of Atlanta; two stepsons, Ben Wooten of Camden and Jeff Wooten of Memphis; six sisters, Mandy Mullins of Moscow, Fannie Gaither, Dorothy Winfield and Geneva Wells, all of Memphis, Roberta Norman of Collierville, Tenn., and Ernestine Jones of Somerset, N.J.; two brothers, John Norman and Coleman Norman, both of Chicago; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 28 at Industrial Street Church of Christ, with Harold Redd officiating. Burial followed in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at Memphis under the direction of Sims-Woodard Funeral Home of Marked Tree.
Sons and grandsons will served as pallbearers.
