Amanda Renee Evans, 25, of West Ridge died Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Regional Medical Center in Memphis.

She graduated from East Poinsett County High School, and attended Arkansas Northeastern College and Arkansas State University. She was a member of Lepanto Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Zakary A. Evans of Rivervale; her father, Jerry L. Evans of West Ridge; her mother and stepfather, Kathleen May Fires and Roger Fires of Lepanto; one sister, Kathy L. Lewis of Greenville, N.C.; one brother, Jerry L. Evans II of West Ridge, and her paternal grandmother, Helen Tyer of West Ridge.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leonard and Eveline May, and her paternal grandfather, Block Tyer.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Murphy Funeral Home chapel in Lepanto, with Jim Duffel officiating. Burial followed in Potter Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers included Wayne "Bubba" Walker, Wes Benton, John Kemp, Bruce Laden, Matthew McClain, Bobby Smith and Shawn Rogers.
