Born at Limestone, Ala., she lived at Jonesboro most of her life. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son: John Young of Jonesboro; three daughters: Shirley Hogan of Jonesboro, Mary McMunn of Marked Tree and Willie Cullins of Little Rock; two sisters: Maxine Fisher of Benton and Idell Bradley of Rogers; eight grandchildren: Delane Hogan, Lennie Hogan, Mary Houchin, Jamie Ellis, Scott McMunn, Philip Cullins, Rhonda McElveen and Sharon Wilkin; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Thomas Young, and her parents, Clyde and Zadie Swinea.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 6 at Roller-Farmers Union chapel with Jerry Jolly officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers included Lennie Hogan, Delane Hogan, Philip Cullins, Dick Wilkin, Billy Houchin, Scott McMunn, Adam McElveen and Matt Hogan.
Members of the Forever Young Christians Class at Temple Baptist Church and Bud Holmes were honorary pallbearers.
