He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Timbs; his parents, Cooper and Annie May Timbs and two brothers.
He is survived by four sons, Houston Timbs of Batesville, AR, Cleveland Timbs of Bald Knob, AR, Perry Timbs of Lepanto, and Kenneth Timbs of Judsonia; five daughters, Barbara Franks of Cushman, AR, Linda Rosemond of Caraway, AR, Lize Carter of Manila, AR, Debbie Greenhaw of Trumann, AR, and Connie Williams of Marked Tree, AR.; three sisters, Peggy Patterson of Niles, MI and Vador Hancock and Lillian Timbs of Manila, AR.; one brother, Cloyes Timbs of Marked Tree, AR.; 36 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 2:30 p.m. at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Lepanto with Huey Meherg officiating. Active pallbearers were Steven Hamilton, Toby Carter, Pete Brown, Randy Tucker, Jerry Rosemond, Robert Clark, and Robert Tracy. Burial followed in Potter Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto.
