Captola Curry

Captola Curry, 73, of Lepanto, AR died Monday, March 4, 2005 at Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis, AR.

She was an active member in the First Baptist Church in Lepanto where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was also a retired special education teacher in East Poinsett County Schools.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Curry; and one daughter, Connie Brannon.

Survivors include her mother, Olene Reese of Jonesboro, AR.; eight daughters, Faye Wirth of Holly, MI, Linda Garrett of Justin, TX., Sandra Platz of Trumann, AR., Karen Sexton of Lepanto, AR., Bonnie Caple of Mayflower, AR., Nancy Robertson of Wilson, AR., Carol Price of Bryant, AR., Debbie Hyatt of Clarkston, MI.; three sisters, Elizabeth Henry of Jonesboro, AR., Bobbie Jean Shelton of Finton, MI., and Becky Cissel of Joiner, AR.; one brother, Tommy Reese of Jonesboro, AR.; 18 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday, April 7 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Lepanto with Jim Duffel officiating. Active pallbearers will be Chris & Brent Wirth, Daniel Price, John Baker, and Jesse Platz. Honorary pallbearers will be David and Jared Caple. Burial will follow in Potter's.
