He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Pilgrim and his father, Earnest Pilgrim.
Survivors include his mother, Estylee Pilgrim of Lepanto; one son, Ronnie Dewayne Pilgrim of Lepanto; one daughter, Regina Long of Lepanto; 4 sisters, Joyce Gatlin, Paulette Stovall, Betty Jones, and Shirley Rogers, all of Lepanto; one brother, V L Pilgrim of Lepanto; seven grandchildren, Brandon Pilgrim, Justin Parnell, Joseph Parnell, and Chris Long, Cara Pilgrim, Paul Pilgrim and Molly Pilgrim.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 17 at the Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Lepanto with Jim Duffell officiating. Burial followed in Potters Memorial Cemetery in Lepanto.
Active pallbearers were Kuron Turner, Eddie Boon, Roger Tyler, Kevin Truelove, Kevin Pilgrim. Honorary pallbearers were Otto Carter and Teddy White.
