John A. McCullar, 84, of Jonesboro died Monday, May 23, at Skilcare Nursing Center of Jonesboro. He was of the Church of God belief.

Survivors include two sons: John Frank McCullar of Olive Branch, Miss., and Ricky Allen McCullar of Jonesboro; five daughters: Betty Howell of Springfield, Mo., Joyce Childres of Marion, Carolyn Vaughn of Jonesboro and Nancy Elder and Judy Allen, both of Sheridan; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie McCullar.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 26 at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel in Marked Tree with Patrick Tucker officiating. Burial followed in Marked Tree Cemetery.
