Brian James Markum, 32, of Marked Tree died Sunday, June 19, at White River Medical Center at Batesville.

Employed by Airtex Inc. of Marked Tree, he attended the Tyronza Church of Christ.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Lowry Smith of Tyronza; his father and stepmother, Bob and Brenda Markum of Thida; three sons, including Dillon Markum of Tyronza; two sisters, Laura Ellis of Lafe and Brandy Malone of Thida; three brothers, Greg Markum of Paragould, Steven Manners of McEwen, Tenn., and Christopher Smith of Millington, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Olan Burch.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 25 at Tyronza Church of Christ, with Larry Bankston officiating. Burial followed in Tyronza Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis.
