Born at Hughes, he was a truck driver and mechanic and a member of Zion Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Luxora.
Survivors include his wife, Louisia Boyce of the home; a daughter, Kendell Boyce of Osceola; a son, Percy Boyce Jr. of Memphis; five stepdaughters, Rosetta Miller of West Memphis, Loretta Brown of Memphis, Diane Diggs of Luxora, Sandra Thomas of Kansas City, Kan., and Melissa Winford of Osceola; five stepsons, Joe Thomas of Osceola, James Thomas and Isaac Thomas, both of Luxora, Mark Thomas of Pekin, Ill., and Kevin Thomas of Sioux City, Iowa; two sisters, Al Marie Harris of West Memphis and Martha Boyce of Forrest City; a brother, Alex Boyce of Osceola; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucy Payne, and two brothers, Joseph Boyce and Alfrod Boyce.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at Zion Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Luxora, with the Rev. Melvin Taylor officiating. Burial followed in Sandy Ridge Cemetery at Burdette. Wilson Funeral Home of Osceola was in charge of arrangements.
