Samp William Smith, 80, of Trumann died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2005 at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born in Florence, Ala. He was a retired farmer and of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maudie Smith and Frank Smith; one brother, Dick Smith and one sister, Minnie Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Lizzie Smith of Trumann; five sisters, Elsie Witt, Edna Davis and Shirley Ward, all of Trumann, Merl Hood of Tyronza and Helen Turner of Payneway and three brothers, Clarence Smith and Earl Smith, both of Trumann and Rex Smith of Marked Tree.

Funeral services were Tuesday Sept. 6, 2005 at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza with Bro. J.W. Berl and Bro. Lynn Vinson officiating. Burial followed at Tyronza Cemetery.
