Leonard Allen Newman, 87, of West Memphis died Thursday, Nov. 3.

Born at Indiana, Okla., he was a heavy equipment mechanic and a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Audra Newman, and his second wife Daphine Newman.

Survivors include three sons: Gerald Newman of West Memphis, Charles Newman and Clifford Newman, both of Sanford, Fla.; one sister: Opel Gooden of Edna, Texas; two brothers: Dean Newman of Victoria, Texas and Paul Newman of Napa, Calif; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7 at Murphy Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Duffel officiating. Burial followed at Potter Memorial Cemetery.
