Mary Eleanor Cooley Anderson, 75, of Starkville, Miss. died Tuesday, Dec. 6 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

She was a retired Instructor Emeritus of Communication for Mississippi State University. She was a member of the Episcopal Church Women and Starkville Community Theatre.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection.

Anderson, the wife of Robert G. Anderson, also leaves two sisters, Ruby Jean Boxley of Marked Tree and Laurine Blair of Memphis; nine nephews and seven great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Welch Funeral Home.
