James Lee "Red" Vanhoozer, 55, of Marked Tree died Dec. 24 at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born May 20, 1950 in Tyronza, Vanhoozer was a farmer and of the Church of Christ faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Davis and Vollie Vanhoozer.

Survivors include three sisters: Sandra Kirland of Cleveland, Miss. and Kay Delong and Robin Hoke, both of Jonesboro; and two brothers: Corley "Ski" Vanhoozer of Tyronza and Charles Vanhoozer of Monteagle, Tenn.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza with Bro. Stan Ballard officiating. Burial followed in Tyronza Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to any Church of Christ, the Veterans of Foreign War or the American Legion.
