He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Black Oak Baptist Church.
Survivors include seven daughters: Katherine Baney of Hardy, Sheryle Edwards of Blytheville, Shirley Morris of Hughes and Martha Davis, Betty Knight, Treana Galloway and Doris Procter, all of Trumann; three sons: James Plunkett of Bay, Wayne Plunkett of Trumann and Daniel Plunkett of Marked Tree; six sisters: Louise Roberts of Black Oak, Shelby Dillion of Lepanto, Mable Aguilar of Mersed, Calif, Bertha Hendrix of Marked Tree, Shirley Casteel of Heber Springs and Geradine Bly of Tyronza; two brothers: Paul Plunkett of Proctor and Billy Plunkett of Marked Tree; 35 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 11 at Black Oak Baptist Church with Frank Bufford officiating. Pallbearers were the grandsons. Burial followed in Tyronza Cemetery with Murphy Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
