Cleo J. Adams, 79, of Marked Tree died March 18 at her home from cancer. Born February 3, 1927, she was a homemaker and was a member of Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ.

She was preceded in death by her brother.

Survivors include six daughters: Lue Bertha Adams of Amithville, N.Y., Mary Adams of Nashville, Tenn., Viola Scott of Marked Tree, Louise Adams of Muskogee, Okla., Barbara Frazier of Greensboro, N.C. and Hattie Pearl Morris of Northridge, Calif.; five sons: John Adams, Jr. of Jericho, James Adams of Marked Tree, Joe Willie Adams of Coco, Fla., Jeffery Adams of Orlando, Fla. and John Bishop of Courtland, Miss.., one sister, Jonetta Ramsey of Lansing, Mich.; 29 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 25 at Pentecostal Temple COGIC in Marked Tree with Rev. Robert Thomas Ship officiating. Burial followed at New Bethlehem Cemetery in Batesville, Miss. with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
