He was a police officer in Marked Tree for over 30 years before retiring.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle "Katy" Johnson; a son, Terry L. Johnson; two sisters; one brother and one granddaughter.
Survivors include three sons: Jimmy Neal and James Michael Johnson, both of Marked Tree, and William James "Dub" Johnson of Wesley; three daughters, Susan Macefee of Renfrew, Penn., Sheila Ann Woody of Baghdad, Iraq, and Sherri J. "Twiggy" Parker of Marked Tree; one brother, Charles "Bud" Johnson of Redding, Penn.; one sister, Dorothy Teague of Naples, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 22 at the funeral home with Rev. Patrick Tucker officiating.
