Tyger was born on December 15, 1948 in Marked Tree. He lived in several states before making his home in Springfield, Mo. where he has lived for 22 years.
Tyger was employed by Roadway from 1987 to 1994 where many friendships were made. He enjoyed the outdoor life. He loved to fish, hunt, camp and ride his Harley Davidson. His favorite thing to do was playing with his grandson, Griffin Tyger, age four.
Survivors include his companion of 28 years, Mary Tyger; one grandson, Griffin L. Tyger; one daughter, Kelli Schrader of Apache Junction, Ariz.; one son, Ryan L. Tyger of Springfield, Mo; three sisters, Georgia Keck of West Memphis, Linda Lord of Winfield, Mo. and Toni Patrick of Potosi, Mo.; two brothers, Larry Tyger of Mississippi and Donnie Tyger of West Plains, Mo.; his mother, Corine Nelson of Potosi, Mol and his father, Alvin Tyger Sr. of West Plains, Mo.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home in Springfield, Mo.
