Wallin had served in the army and worked for Kroger as a meat cutter before opening his own business "Maxie Foods." He operated it for over 20 years until it was destroyed by a tornado. He then raised greyhound dogs and worked at Southland Greyhound until his accident four years ago.
He was a member of First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Faye Wallin; his only child Billy Wallin, Jr. of Proctor; a brother Jerry Wallin of Collierville, Tenn;, a brother Harold Wallin and wife Patsy of Daculd, Ga.; a sister-in-law Jerrie Dale Wallin of West Memphis' a sister-in-law Ann Wallin of Marked Tree; a sister-in-law Deloris Young of New Boston, Texas; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Grace and George Earl Morgan of New Calumbiaville, Mich.;, a brother-in-law Gene Duvall of Brookeville, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dovie Wallin of Marked Tree; two brothers, James Wallin and John Thomas Wallin, both of of West Memphis, and a sister Joann Modigett.
