Martha Ann Peifer of Harrisburg died on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at NEA Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 64. She was born February 4, 1942 in McCormick, the daughter of Clovis Totty and Lucille Haley Totty.

She was a lifetime resident of Harrisburg and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren. She married Bobby Peifer on June 29, 1957 and they enjoyed 49 years together.

She was preceded in death by her father Clovis Totty and one brother, James "Pete" Totty.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bobby Peifer of the home; her mother, Lucille Haley Totty of Marked Tree; two sons, Jimmy Peifer of Harrisburg and Phillip Peifer of Paducah, Ky.; three daughters, Teresa Peifer of Harrisburg, Sandra Kruszawski of Lexington, Ky. and Sherry Perry of Southhaven, Miss.; one brother, Gene Totty of Sycamore, Ill.; six sisters, Bonnie Rowland of Grayling, Mich., Sharon Pitts of Marked Tree, Diane Totty of Trumann, Gaynell Gann of Southhaven, Miss., Gail Wilkins of Paragould and Faye Knight-Miller of Trumann; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 20, at the Weston Funeral Service Chapel in Harrisburg. A private committal service was held at Bolivar Cemetery.
