Burrows was born June 8, 1949, in Marked Tree. She was the daughter of Jack Hosman and Melovie Skinner Hosman. She was a teacher with the Forrest City Public Schools, and was a Sunday School teacher and member of the First Baptist Church in Forrest City.
Buurows married David Fay Burrows in 1968. He survives her along with a son, Davey F. Burrows Jr. of Forrest City; three daughters: Jackie Di Burows Wallace and husband Shane of Jonesboro, Jill A. Burrows Levine and husband Richard of Atlanta, and Jodi D. Burrows of Forrest City; her mother, Melovie Hosman of Marked Tree; two brothers: Melvin "Buddy" Hosman and wife Donnita of Jonesboro and Larry "Shorty" Hosman of Marked Tree; a granddaughter, Layna R. Wallace of Jonesboro; a sister-in-law, Beth Jones of Forrest City; a brother and sister-in-law Billy and Brenda Burrows of Fayetteville; and a mother-in-law, Evelyn Dunn of Forrest City. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Services were held June 23 at the First Baptist Church in Forrest City. Burial followed at Forrest Park Cemetery with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the American Heart Association or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
