Emma Lee Buchanan, 93, of Lepanto died August 11 at the Three Rivers Nursing Center in Marked Tree.

Buchanan was born March 19, 1913, at Weldon. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church of Lepanto and a lifetime resident of the Lepanto area.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Buford Barnes and Rosetta Barnes.

Survivors include two daughters: Erma Brooks and Johnnie Hurt both of Chicago, Ill.; one son, Leandra Buchanan of Lepanto; 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Friday, Aug. 18 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Osceola. Burial followed at Pine Rest Cemetery in Lepanto. Dr. Moses Black was the officiating minister and Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola was in charge of arrangements.
